Founding of New Braunsfels by German Settlers - German-American Heritage Sites on Waymarking.com

A really elaborate maypole has been erected in New Braunsfels, TX by the German American Society. It commemorates the 150th anniversary of the founding of the City of New Braunsfels by German settlers. The maypole was dedicated on 23 April 1995. It rivals the maypoles I've seen in Bavaria.
