The artist Robin Brailsford is from California and wanted to do a tribute to the early days of Frisco when farmers kept sheep for their wool, meat, cheese and their weed eating skills. The sheep along with the Poem inscribed with mosaic tiles along the steps leading to the top of the rounded hilltop make up the entire Public Art project. The poem was written by Robins mother Frances Womack, writer, poet and illustrator for many children’s books.
The sheep and poem have been a bit mistreated but are scheduled for maintenance this summer 2011.
