The Cafe:
Opened on December 17, 1921, with the name "Elite", the cafe, located in No. 112 Rua de Santa Catarina, was immediately associated with a certain frequency of different people at the time. One of those who were present at the inauguration was the pilot aviator Gago Coutinho, just returned from a trip to the island of Madeira, and was delighted with the splendor of art nouveau decor.
The following year the name change from Elite to Majestic, suggesting the chic Parisian, over against the customer who wanted to attract, and so appreciated at the time.
Attended the coffee names as of Pascoaes Teixeira, Jose Regio, Antonio Nobre, philosopher Leonardo Coimbra. Later he became a frequent place for students and teachers at the School of Fine Arts in Oporto.
Another of gatherings known as the animated was made ??by the sculptor and the painter José Rodrigues Armando Alves, Angelo de Sousa and Jorge Pinheiro. This group would adopt, because the final classification, the ironic name of "the four twenties", and would remain united in a series of exhibitions in Oporto, Lisbon and Paris in the period 1968-1971.
Today it continues to be excited about poetry recitals, piano concerts, painting exhibitions, book launches, performing a few scenes for movies national or foreign.

Pedro Abrunhosa (born December 20, 1960) is a Portuguese singer, musician and songwriter. Aside from his music, he is known for always wearing sunglasses in public. Abrunhosa also played himself in the 1999 film La Lettre.
