This simple and eloquent marked is dedicted to Lesley J. McNair and all veterans. It sits just as you enter a nice roadside park in the small city of Verndale, MN.

Lt. Gen. Lesley J. McNair was from Verndale and was (and still may be) the highest ranking officer to be killed in action. The City has a great website that details Lesley J. McNair. They consider Lt. Gen. McNair, Verndale's most famous citizen.

Stone structure with granite plaque. Located in the road side park that has picnic facilities, playground, train caboose and a wonderful World War I memorial.
