This railway station was opened in 1893 with construction having commenced in 1886. Over its life it has served both industry & passengers. The main industry associated with the station was milk processing at the adjacent creamery. In 1915 its platform was extended in length to service race horses. Now a days it is purely a passenger terminal on the South Coast line which is part of the CityRail network. It is 141 Km south of Sydney.
Berry Railway Station is of State historical significance as an important country railway station complex built from 1893 to the 1940s, with most of its original 1893 elements intact.
