The Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose, California is often referred to as simply, The Tech. Mexico City-based architect, Ricardo Legorreta, designed The Tech Museum of Innovation. In 1999 Legorreta was awarded the UIA Gold Medal Prize for architecture.

The Tech Museum building is colored orange and capped with a purple dome. This building (and the nearby Children's Discovery Museum by Legorreta) give the City of San Jose two world-class structures of significant architectural importance.
