The library's website provides the following information:

"The Caroline Municipal Library serves the Caroline community, with a population of 556 from the Village and 3420 from Clearwater County, for a total of 3956 in 2007.

The library’s history in the community began in the 1980s, when the library was located in the basement of the local Community Hall. Today, it is housed in a beautiful building that stands on main street Caroline.

The library offers storytime programs throughout the year, as well as a summer reading program every summer for children ages 6 - 11.

The library is a great resource for two local book clubs, and library staff assist the clubs in ordering the book of the month. Author readings are also hosted at the library, and the facility is available to the community for after hours use. Patrons have access to business machines for a small fee or donation.

Six community access computers provide the public with access to broadband internet, and wireless internet is available at the library as well. The library is open to the public for 32 hours per week, and has three part-time staff.
