Eskimo Joe's was first opened on July 21, 1975 as a bar. According to the website, when the legal drinking age was raised from 18 to 21 in 1984, Joe's opened as a full-service restaurant.

Joe's is located just east of the OSU campus, on the southeast corner of Duck and Elm. On game days and on the day of the Eskimo Joe's run, you can expect a long wait to be seated. This is a very popular restaurant and sports bar, and an icon on the OSU campus.

A variety of food is served, with one of the most popular items being cheese fries (we love the fried zucchini). Joe's has a gift shop next to the restaurant, and many customers enjoy shopping there before and after eating. This is a two-story restaurant, with an open-view ceiling smack in the middle. A separate take-out entrance is now located on the far northeast corner of the building.
