Theta Pond is on the Oklahoma State University campus, on the northeast corner of Monroe and University. This is a well-shaded pond, with many benches, brick walls, and grassy areas. The park is well maintained and the sidewalks are well cleared. There is a small island in the pond.
On the far southwest corner of the pond, by the OSU sign, are several benches honoring Greek organizations. On the far northeast corner are several bricks honoring Greek organizations.
From an OSU brochure, regarding the university's traditions:
It was built in 1895 as a place for watering horses. Today it waters ducks, cypress trees and unfortunate folks who get "ponded".
