Ratchaburi is the capital of the province of the same name ~80kms west of Bangkok. A quiet place, farms and light industry. Surprisingly, there is no bus station as such in town, rather there are several areas around the town where buses habitually park and take on passengers. The spot where the buses from Bangkok arrive and depart is the street front of the local Tesco/Lotus (big in Thailand) store. Part of the parking area is used as a bus facility.
When I visited on a Saturday afternoon there was one Bangkok bus and one of the larger 'local' buses on the street, and a few of the larger variety of intra-provincial tuks tuks. There were also a small number of motor bike drivers and small tuk tuks, waiting to carry exiting passengers around the town. There was no sign of any form of ticketing, this would most likely be down on the bus. A 'little old lady' was selling snacks and drinks on the footpath.
