The Wesleyan Church in Salt Lake City was recently assigned to the Dakota District which is leading the way in district growth–seeing over 3,000 commitments to Christ last year. Some four thousand people from the island of Tonga have relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah. Many of the Tongan laypersons and their pastoral leaders who have been a part of The Methodist Church in Tonga have now connected with The Wesleyan Church in Salt Lake City. A new church is developing in Salt Lake City under these trained pastors.
