Historically, the rear of the pub dates back to the early 16th Century with the front only a mere thirty years old! The building was originally two cottages, then an ironmongers, cycle depot, town library, Mary Ellan's tea rooms and finally, since the late 1960s, a Greene King pub.
Inside there is one big room with a little annex on the left where functions are held. The raised area to the front of the pub turns into a stage when need be and there are lots of wooden beams throughout this attractive venue.
Inn On The Green is a village pub with an extensive garden overlooking the village green. Serves traditional pub food, provides typical pub entertainment like quiz nights, darts, live music and has 2 plasma screens to show live sporting events.
