The small town of Chachoengsao (and capital of the small province of the same name), lies ~50kms to the east of Bangkok. There is one university in the town: Rajabhat Rajanagarinda university, located within the town precincts. I visited the campus on the weekend, during a holiday period, so there was not much going on. The only faculty sign I spotted was the for the Humanities and Social Sciences (not a bad thing).
As I could not find a staff member to interrogate I can only offer that: the Rajabhat campuses are found in most Thai provinces, they were formerly technical colleges, they usually offer a wide range of courses (accounting, English, history, culture and language, computers, and so forth). I would estimate that the campus caters for around about 10,000 students.
