Clam-Gallas Palace in Prague is famous Baroque palace building in Old Town Husova St. No. 20. It was built for the viceroy Jan Vaclav Gallas and served as a major urban residence of Gallas family (from 1747 Clam-Gallas).
Original monumental and representative baroque aristocratic residences currently belong the city of Prague and now serves as an archive of capital Prague. In addition, there also held various cultural events, concerts, exhibitions, conferences, etc.
The current version of the palace dates from 1713, when its owner of an Austrian diplomat, an Václav Gallas, let to rebuild the palace in its present form by one of the best European Baroque architects of the time Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach.
