According to the dedication plaque,this memorial honors firefighters "who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our magnificent Mogollon Rim Country." Listed on the plaque are 10 firefighters who died fighting wildfires from 1961 through 1990.


Featured is a bronze statue of a wildland firefighter holding a pulaski.


This plaque lists the dates, fires, and the names of the firefighters who perished.
