During the heyday of western movies most of the cowboy stars came to Buford, GA to the Bona Allen Tannery to have their saddles custom fitted. Roy Rogers brought his famous horse Trigger on a train to Buford to have a custom saddle made. This statue is a tribute to the craftsmen that worked in the Bona Allen Tannery which was located across the street from this statue.
