This memorial stands on the grounds of Crest Lawn Gardens in Downtown Atlanta and is amongst graves dating back to the Civil War. From one direction looking at this monument you have a beautiful view of the Downtown Atlanta skyline in the background. Civil War battles were fought in the surrounding area. The joined hands at the top of this memorial and the words engraved remind us to never forget those who fought for the United States of America so that we can live in the land of the free and these brave men and women should be remembered always.

 Description of Memorial: The memorial is in Crest Lawn Gardens Cemetery and I found this while I was geocaching in the area. The unique shape against the Downtown Atlanta backdrop is just beautiful.
