Located in eastern Haakon County, South Dakota, Nowlin is no longer a populated area. All that remains is the Nowlin Cemetery, on the north side of US Highway 14.
Nowlin, itself, was a couple miles south of the cemetery.
There was a Nowlin County from 1883 until 1897 and since has been absorbed by Haakon County.
