The Museum of Women Pilots is a wonderful place to learn the history of women in aviation. Displays give information on individual women pilots as well as the historical events that shaped the field of aviation. It is fascinating to read about the individual women who had the courage and perseverance to blaze a trail for women all over the world.
One interesting exhibit shows a photo of the first female pilot in each country, and some of those are quite recent.
There are numerous artifacts on display, newspaper articles about the events that made these women pilots famous, and insignia that they wore as pilots.
There is a gift shop near the entrance where several books on women aviators can be purchased.
