The São Quintino Church was built by King D. Manuel I in 1520, not yet knowing the reason which led the monarch to make that decision.

The church as we know it today is the result of several interventions made at different times, most recently washed out by the Direcção Geral dos Edifícios e Monumentos Nacionais already in the 40s of the twentieth century.

In the exterior is to highlight the portal, dating from 1530, that combines elements from Manueline and Renaissance style.
