Strictly speaking, I suspect that this is a beer barrel rather than a barrel of beer.

'The Brewery Tap', is the name given to the pub nearest to the brewery. Traditionally this would have been an adjoining building, but here there is a walk of a couple of hundred yards.

Banks and Taylor is the brewery in question here, although in the early 1990's the name was changed to B&T.
