This marble plaque is located in a nicely landscaped area near the Great EscApe exhibit.
This is a wonderfully appropriate quote to place at the zoo, to show that we need to be accountable for the way we dispose of and treat the animals of today, so that those who come after us will be able to watch and enjoy them also.
Inscription:
The wildlife of today is not ours to dispose of as we please. We have it in trust and must account for it to those who come after.
