There are "Sea Level" elevation sign on I-8 (eastbound and westbound) about 12 miles west of El Centro, California in the Imperial Valley.

The westbound sign is about 400 feet before the Plaster City Exit (Exit 101). The esstbound sign is about 400 feet after the Plaster City Exit on ramp (Exit 101). This sea level spot is over 75 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean. It is however only 22 miles south-southwest of the Salton Sea which has a surface elevation of 227 feet below sea level.
Location: I-8, 12 miles west of El Centro (mile marker 24.0)
