There are many rune stones in Södermanland, this one is not one of the most known, but it is very well conserved.
According to the legend, this stone was carved on all four sides but that only one side remains after being ravaged by a forest fire.
Due to the carving, the stone is known under the name "Skrivarstenen" (Writer's Stone).
The carving reads: "Fastulv, son till Viulv, lät hugga stenen efter Holmger, sin broder, och Torvar, sin moder. Gud hjälpe deras ande".
(Fastulv, son of Viulv, had this stone chiseled after Holmger, his brother, and Torvar, his mother. God help their spirit).
