Norwich: postbox NR2 211, St. Peter’s Street Norwich.
This hexagonal Victorian postbox is of the 'Penfold' design which is probably the best known design pre the standard cylindrical pillar box.
It is currently out of service because of improvement works to the area above the Market place a newer box has been placed nearby for mail.
Tell us about the area the post box is situated.: Over looking the Market place and the newly revamped war memorial gardens
Condition of the box: Good/Average/Poor: Fair condition at present, hopefully repainted when area is finshed refurbishment
Is this post box still in use?: Not at present
