Massive Gothic Bechyne gate (Bechynská brana) is the only preserved medieval town gate in Tábor. Gate has survived almost in the same state as it was built in the first third of the 15th century.

Massive Gothic Bechyne gate (Bechynská brana) is the only preserved medieval town gate in Tábor, town which was known for this great fortification. Gate has survived almost in the same state as it was built in the first third of the 15th century.
The gate is adjoined to the tower of nearby Kotnov castle. In the Gothic interiors of the gate you can find a museum exhibition called "The Life and Work of Medieval Society".
