Brian's Butchery and Deli has been bought out by the current butcher and is now callsed Around the Block Butcher shop . It was a family run business serving a community of dedicated clients.

Around the block butcher shop tucked away in a non-descript strip mall in a west-end Ottawa neighbourhood. Personal, knowledgeable service from staff who know their trade. Superb quality and great prices. All the staff working the counter clearly love what they do. Worth making a special trip.
The current owner and his ataff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and eager to please. They strive to offer products bought from local suppliers: eggs, meat including poultry, beef, lamb and pork, cheeses and much more.
In conclusion, even though this place is a bit out of the way, it's definitely a reliable place to buy meat among other things. It's definitely worth the trip to get the aged stuff.
At this butcher shop, they make their own toutieres, steak and kidney pies, chicken pot pies, they have a rotisserie for ribs and chicken cooked daily and have been known to make their own sausages.
The butchery started by Brian Alsford kept it's name and the family tradition until it was sold to one of the butchers
