It’s only in a small town like Traer that one has the opportunity to see up-to-date movies for only $2.00 a person. The 1895 movie theater building is owned by the community and operated by volunteers. Many fund-raisers and donations helped refurbish the historical building between 2002 and 2006; Dolby digital speakers gives quality sound to first run films. There is seating for 144 people and wheelchair space is also available. The concession stand has popcorn, candy and pop. Show times are Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights at 7 p.m. and matinees are shown on Sundays at 2 p.m.
