Following the Act of Catholic Emancipation, 1829, the people of Glendalogh were free once more to worship in public.

The Church of St. Kevin designed by J.J. McCarthy, was built during the 'Great Hunger' and consecrated in 1851.

To celebrate the millennium in 2000 AD the building was restored to its original beauty.»
