It was at that time, the largest venue in Portugal - with a capacity of 1827 people (913 in the audience, 914 in the three balcony) - but also equipped with unprecedented technological innovations, including air conditioning and a system internal aspiration that would eliminate dust from the environment.
It had excellent acoustics and provided visitors with a landscape of great beauty and comfort.
