The Carpinteria Valley Historical Society is a nonprofit educational organization that has created, maintains, and operates this Museum and also a research library and is dedicated to continuously collect, preserve, interpret, and exhibit objects of historical significance related to this Valley in Santa Barbara County.

TOURS: Tours of the museum can be arranged, with a knowledgeable Docent leading the tours during regular Exhibit Gallery hours. In addition, school groups and other special group tours can be arranged by appointment and can include a special emphasis, such as Local History, Chumash Indians, Pioneer Living, or the general early California history of Spanish exploration/conquest during the Mission period, the Mexican Rancho period, the Gold Rush or American Pioneer periods.
