This brilliantly colored eight-pointed "Harvest star" seems to glow against the red barn where it is mounted. The newly sided traditional red barn is part of the East Brule Farm which is located just north of the Hwy 11 and 229th Street intersection in rural Lincoln County. This is the first South Dakota barn quilt I have seen so far. Hopefully the art form will spread to other neighboring farms.
