This memorial is in a small garden between the main cenotaph and a statue of Queen Victoria.
This is a headstone type marker and honours Polish combatants who died fighting with the allies in World War II. It also honours those Polish fighters that stayed on in Britain after the war.
Many Polish combatants stayed on in various parts of Britain, Bradford amongst them. A number of the survivors were present when the memorial was unveiled.
In the picture the posy of flowers was laid by SPK which is the Polish ex combatants association.
