The reliefs have Low-Germans incriptions, showing the
epochs of each of them.
If you stand in front of the building and take a look at them, so the
left plate shows you the early time after the foundation of Rostock.
The slogan engraved there is:

Ritter Borwins Tiden,
wurd manch eens ook anscheten.
Translated in High-German:
Zu
Ritter Borwins Zeiten,
wurd' manch einer auch betrogen.
Translated in English:
In times
of Sir Borwin,
some people were also deceived.
Heinrich Borwin I. confirmed the town rights to Rostock
in 1218.
The middle plate shows the Hanseatic period. There it's
written:
De
Börgerslüd würn bannig riek
vorn lewen Gott - segat de Pastor -
sünd alle gliek.
In High-German:
Die
Bürgersleute wurden sehr reich,
vor dem lieben Gott - so sagt der Pastor - sind alle gleich.
In English:
The
towns people became very rich,
before the Lord - the pastor says - all are equal.
The plate on the right side refers to the time in the
end of the 1970s when the house was built (delivered 01/12/1979). On
that plate it's written:
Vel
Hüsung brukt de nige Stadt,
de Rat darüm sin Sorgen.
In High-German:
Viele
Häuser braucht die neue Stadt,
der Rat sorgt sich darum.
In English:
Lots of
houses the new city needs,
the counsil is anxious.
