This is a simple stone marker with an inscription on the front. There is nothing on the back of the stone marker. The inscription reads as follows:

"The marker was dedicated by the Wildcat Veterans' Association in honor of North Carolina men of the U.S. Army's 81st Division who battled in the Meuse-Argonne offensive in France during World War I. The 81st Division was nicknamed the "Wildcat Division" because of its ferocious and unyielding spirit."
