Boswell's Tavern
At this old tavern Lafayette camped, on June 12, 1781, while moving southward to intervene between Cornwallis and military stores in Albemarle County.

The first part of the tavern was constructed around 1735. Purchased in 1761 by John Boswell, who ran it until 1788. Famous people who were known to have visited the tavern included Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, and James Madison.

Located in the Green Springs Historic District.
