?Located on Puerto Vallarta's malecon, this 2-piece sculpture depicts two children climbing a ladder overlooking the sea as an adult figure seems to sings to them with open arms. The bronze piece is titled In Search of Reason and is by Sergio Bustamante. It is dated 1999.

This website (visit link) informs us, amongst other things that the artist was born in Sinaloa in the late 1950s and worked many years in Amsterdam before returning to Mexico. Most of his works apparently have a "magical" element to them.
