This is one of John Cerney's newer non-commissioned works -- high up on a hillside overlooking Hwy-101 between San Lucas and King City.

This cutout is really hard to photograph. There are much clearer shots on John Cerney's website, but I do like Sandy's LS with the cows on parade in the foreground.

John put this up between 2007 and 2008 and it's composed of 550 pieces of MDO 1" plywood and the portrait is 40 ft. tall.

We first saw it in 2008 and both of us did a double-take as we whizzed by. We didn't know what we saw but we strongly suspected it was one of John Cerney's roadside art-works. On the return trip we confirmed that -- and then looked it up.
