It's a simple memorial, but fitting none-the-less, to remember the lives of four local lads who fought in WWII. The plain marble slab with incised names in black and edged in gold, is framed by a blue-veined marble surround.

The inscription is as follows:

            In Honoured Memory of the
Men of this Parish Who Gave
Their Lives in the World War
                    1939-1945

       Oliver John Adams	R.A.(1st Airborne)
       James Percival Fleming	R.A.F.
       Lawrence Welch R.N.
       Harold Wm.S.Townley	5/Northants
Them monument is placed on the wall of the north aisle in this small village church.
