A Sycamore planted from seed which travelled on the Apollo 14 mission, now in the traffic circle by the visitors center.

After going to the moon and back on the Apollo 14 mission in 1971, this sycamore tree was planted here on June 9, 1977 when the visitors center was opened for the Goddard Space Flight Center.

You can see it grow by checking out various webpages.
First sometime in the 1980's for the visitors center
Then in 2002 for the Moon Tree listing.
And now this waymark showing that it is roughly 50 feet tall.
The sycamore will grow to around 75-90 feet, and can live 500 years (reference "Textbook of Dendrology").

The Goddard visitors center is free to visit and open varying hours typically 10AM to 3PM, but check their website for details. Many tour and school groups visit the facility.
