Prosluly Hurvinek loutkare Josefa Skupy ma ode dneska vlastni sochu v nadzivotni velikosti. Vytesana je z ruzove indicke zuly a monument se jmenuje Vesely pomnik. Napad na vztyceni pomniku legendarni divadelni postavicce vzesel z hlav mistnich radnich. Nezvyklym pocinem chteji uctit nejen Hurvinka, ale i jeho duchovniho otce Josefa Skupu, ktery v Chrastu pobyval a jehoz dum tu dodnes stoji.
Dvoumetrovy pomnik je siroky 90 centimetru a hluboky pul metru. Vznikl v kamenicke dilne Vaclava Chlupsy v Zaluzi a Jaromir Nedorost ho vytvoril behem sesti tydnu. Hurvinek vystupuje z kamene a ruzove zbarvena zula vytvari podle autora zcela jinou atmosferu nez tradicni seda nebo cerna barva. "Do Chrastu jezdil Josef Skupa na letni byt. Dokonce je tady garaz, kde parkoval autobus, jenz divadelniky vozil na predstaveni. Ale Skupuv vztah k Chrastu dosud nic nepripominalo," uvedl starosta.
Josef Skupa se stal majitelem domu c.p. 360 v Chrastu v cervenci 1939. V rijnu 1944 zde byl Skupa zatcen plzenskym Gestapem , spolu s nim byla zabavena i jedna sada loutek Spejbla a Hurvinka. Zbyle dve byly uschovany u chrasteckych obcanu.
Renowned Hurvinek of puppeteer Josef Skupa from today has its own statue, larger than life. Is carved from pink granite monument in India is called Happy Memorial. The idea of erecting a monument to the legendary theater figure came from the heads of local councilors. Unusual act not only want to honor Hurvinek, but also his spiritual father, Josef Skupa, who lived in Chást and whose house still stands.
Six-foot statue is 90 centimeters wide and eight feet deep. It was built in stone in the workshop Vaclav Chlupsy Záluží and Jaromir Nedorost created it in six weeks. Hurvinek out of the stone and pink granite colored by the author creates a completely different atmosphere than the traditional gray or black color.
Josef Skupa became the owner of the house No. 360 Chrast in July 1939th. In October 1944 there was Skupa arrested by the Pilsner Gestapo, along with him were seized and one set Spejbl and puppets. The remaining two were kept at citizens of Chrast.
