The plaque reads: "This memorial represents an ancient phrase of loss, "the death of the children before their parents," "arts" vision gives a physical acknowledgment of such an untimely taken by exposing elusive spirituality of life. The tree in its raw and vulnerable form represents eternal spirit of children to their parents, to life itself. The influence of such a loss never leaves, no matter how hard we try to hold on, these tender spirit ultimately gain their freedom by breaking all earthly ties- represented by distressed and broken steel fasteners. The rocks express the power in support of the earth, transcendent such tragic events by simply continuing as rocks have done from the very beginning of time- as we must. The environment of life expressing itself all around and on the place while nurturing it with those who visit. The nameplates represent love."
On the tree are the names of children on small plaques.
