The Youngsville Cemetery is the final resting place for many veterans from Youngsville including Matthew Young the founder of Youngsville and a Revolutionary War Soldier. Matthew Young's grave site is located about 100 feet to the northeast of this monument. The cemetery is open only from dawn to dusk but offers a memorable view of this monument as daylight fades.

Description of Memorial: This is a stone monument in Youngsville Cemetery flanked by a flag pole. The flag is lit with solar powered lights and rises high above the borough of Youngsville and the veterans buried within the cemetery grounds. At the base of the monument cast markers have been placed to represent all the wars served by veterans interred in the cemetery. The entire area is marked off with posts and chains.
