Out front, near the street and to the rear of a World War II memorial is a silver, sleek-looking seal, completely out of place.

I would imagine the children splay on the silver seal, sliding down its back with teacher hollering at them to stay off of it. The seal is inside of a red, astroturf like circle, just softer and spongier. At first I thought nothing of the seal, not even 'waymarkable'. Upon closer inspection, it struck me as a one of a kind and considering the area, in remarkable shape. The seal is sitting up, flippers splayed out supporting it. It faces the street. Naturally, there is no mention of it anywhere on the internet, and no artist marks to indicate when this was made or who the sculptor was. I can only imagine this is newish and the mascot of the school is the seal.
