"Chances Are" is a movie about Corinne, played by Cybill Shepherd and her husband Louie played by Christopher McDonald. Louie is involved in an accident, dies, and then comes back for as Alex played by Robert Downey Jr. who runs back into Corinne and has to let her know that he's Louie.
In the scene, Louie is meeting Corinne at the restaurant L'Etoille. He parks across the street from the restaurant. Corinne waits at the window seat inside the restaurant as Louie crosses the street. He begins to cross when he's hit by a passing car and dies.
The exterior of this restaurant and the intersection out in front of it are used for filming. Interior scenes were just Cybill Shepherd sitting in the window.
