The "Miracle Strip" is back. The original amusement park was started in 1963 to offer carnival-style rides and arcade games, but closed in 2004. The land was sold to build condominiums.
(link) In 2009, Jenny and Teddy Meeks bought the 1964 carousel used at the old park, refurbished it, and placed it on leased land at the back of the Pier Park commercial development. The small amusement park has grown to offer several rides:
