The Santa Fe Depot located at 409 W. Oklahoma Avenue west of the historic downtown Guthrie area was built in 1903. This is a Contributing Building to the Guthrie Historic District.
The depot is 185 ft. long and 85 feet wide at its widest point. When originally built, it housed one of the famous "Harvey House" restaurants, so popular with early train travelers. Today it houses the R & R Restaurant and Event Center. This restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and serves everything from burgers to full steak dinners. If you're lucky and want the ambiance, a train may come rolling past the restaurant some time between your salad and dessert...quite an experience.
The event center has rooms available for rent, with catering available. A small museum of Harvey House memorabilia is also on site.
