Galluspforte (Gallus Porch) is the most important Romanesque sculpture creation of Switzerland and is said to be the oldest Romanesque figure porch in the German-speaking world.
Most of the cathedral had been destroyed by the earthquake of 1356 and was rebuilt in the following decades until about 1500, but this porch is the almost completely intact original from about 1150/1170, the bronze door was replaced in 1892.
