Stable's Cafe is located at 223 N. Division. This is a two-story brick and frame building that is a contributing building to the Guthrie Historic District. It was built in 1910.
Stable's opened here in 1987 and is still being run by its original owners, Marc and Debbie Prather. They specialize in BBQ and have the most delicious onion rings you'll ever find. The menu also offers excellent steaks, with a salad wagon.
They are open every day except Christmas, Thanksgiving and 4th of July. Hours of Operation: Sun - Thurs: 11-9; Fri-Sat: 11-10.
They will take reservations for large parties, however, are mainly first come-first served. There are banquet facilities and party rooms, and wine and strong beer are sold.
When you walk into Stable's you are immediately bombarded with memorabilia from the 40s and 50s, on the walls, ceilings, and standing in every corner. It is definitely an enjoyable visit and a great meal.
