The Kelchstein consists of red sandstone. It has the shape of a chalice. Experenced climbers can climb the rock. The easiest route has a difficulty of VIIc (Saxonian) or VI+ (UIAA) or 6a+ (French).
Nearby the Kelchstein are many other rocks for climbing.
Some hundred meters away you find a Via Ferrata "Alpiner Grat". Climbing it, you can find the Geocache GC1HQ68.
